Talk Talk Digital Heroes Awards

The Digital Heroes Awards are provided and administered by Talk Talk and Citizens Online. The awards will be given to outstanding individuals, working within UK community groups or charities, who are using the power of digital technology to implement bright ideas which bring about positive social change. The awards will be used to fund both new and existing digital projects.

Talk Talk are keen to fund any technology project which extends the work of the organisation concerned. For example, eligible projects may take the form of chat rooms on health issues or web-based support networks.

Awards of up to £5,000 are available.

12 Regional winners from across the UK will receive cash grants of £5,000 each to fund digital projects- as well as getting free broadband to help them make the most of the internet. From these, one overall winner will be chosen by a judging panel to receive £10,000, plus free broadband access.

In 2011 there will be a special category for a Race Online 2012 winner, as decided by Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox.
